I have been loving Deanna Bogart (from a distance) for many years - hey, and her music too! In my humble estimation, this is her BEST album so far. I look forward to her live performances in the MD, DC, PA area.

Great music. If you ever have a chance, go see her in concert. She plays in Maryland, Delaware and Penn.

Wow, Deanna Bogart showcases all her many talents on this latest disc: sexy sax, smoky-bluesy vocals, well-crafted tunes, insightful lyrics, crazyfingered keyboards. Bogart defies pigeonholing, and this album runs the gamut from rockin' blues to piano and sax boogies to soulful ballads to a "martini jazz" instrumental. I keep one in my car for lively driving, and another at home for careful earphone listening.

Bogart is typically categorized as a blues artist, but pigeonholing her that narrowly does not take into account the myriad of musical influences that she takes on. On "Real Time" Bogart showcases her incredible versatility moving from blues, to jazz, to rock, to boogie woogie. She is first and foremost a piano player, and a great one at that, but she also plays a mean sax, has a great voice, and can write quality material to boot. Where you market someone as diverse as Bogart is anyone's guess. Bogart is not that well known, but deserves a lot more recognition than she has received. This album features all of her strengths and contains some great material. If you are a fan of Bogart's earlier works this one should be an automatic buy.

I have seen Deanna live twice now. This album is excellent. Almost as good as seeing her play live. I strongly recommend it.
