A good book in real-time scheduling,
By Fan Zhang (Hong Kong) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Real-Time Systems (Mcgraw-Hill Series in Computer Science) (Hardcover)
This book covers most important aspects in real-time systems. Including traditional real-time scheduling, real-time DB, fault tolerance, real-time communication. The authors do not simply introduce the theory, but try to explain the rationale and even detailed derivation procedure. This definitely helps students better understand the content. It's an excellent textbook for introduction to real-time systems at the postgraduate level. The authors are world-class researchers in real-time systems. I really hope they would publish a newer version, incorporating their newest research results such as power-aware computing and wireless networks. |
