Jim Roy is a genius on whitetail behavior and hunting tactics. this book is all any avid hunter needs to read. It will save most hunters thousands of dollars worth of stuff no real hunter needs. Save you money and buy this book and read it more than once. You'll soon have too many racks and not enough wall space.

This is a Very Good Deer Hunting book!! The title seems a little bit mis-leading for the person looking for a deer hunting "how to" book. While the author, Jim Roy, does a fantastic job describing how deer act and behave -- he then takes it to the next level and relates "How" to use this behavioral information to help improve your hunting endeavors. So to me, it's more like a great deer hunting book on how to hunt smarter and then the author ties it back to how that hunting technique relates to a deer's normal behavior. For me, this helps "justify" the author's tips and makes them seem more "sensible" based on a deer's innate programed behavior in the wild.
BOTTOM LINE: Definately get this book, you will understand deer behavior better, so your hunting success will improve. This is a A++ book.
