This book compiles some of the articles that have been published in Model Railroader magazine over the years. Great ideas for any railroad modeler seeking to make his railroad more realistic. Nice photos.

4.0 out of 5 stars Some Really Clever Ideas, August 10, 2006
This review is from: Realistic Animation, Lighting & Sound : 21 Projects for Your Model Railroad (Paperback)
This is not a book of theory. It is instead a collection of 21 specific projects that have appeared in Model Railroader Magazine. Some deal with animation and some deal with lighting. One deals with sound. What they all have in common are that they are relatively simple, that they are very clever and that any of them will go a long way towards sprucing up a model layout. For me, the price was worthwhile just to learn some clever tricks even if I never use them myself.

It's a good buy.

2.0 out of 5 stars Realistic animation, light and sound., October 20, 2010

Very expensive, over priced - to expensive for what it is. Book is interesting in content. Delivery was reasonable but the book arrived in a damaged condition.
