5.0 out of 5 stars Good detailed projects..big hardcover edition., August 7, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This was another great instructional book, but again with patterns to trace for the projects. I like to copy other people's art work because that is how I learn, and give the finished project away as a gift, or keep it for my own enjoyment. I do my own drawings, but there are patterns to trace if you so desire. I do my own copy of the drawing, because it has a sense of me in the finished work, as it usually doesn't come out "exactly" the same, unlike a "traced" pattern. This artist was featured in another book I purchased showing the work of advanced professional wildlife artists. However, the book is very good, and she also explains the "fur" process with a "rake" brush. The rake and comb brushes just make this process a little faster. Some people prefer to paint the fur on one hair at a time... I liked this book, it was a good bargain. Nice clean hard copy. Some of the projects are realistic looking, but the tiger project is almost abstract to me. (although wonderful art work).
