5.0 out of 5 stars Can't put it down
I just LOVE these books, these are the type of books that you just can't put down! I started reading them at the end of December and now I am on book #4! Book #2 Reality Check was probably the most 'can't put it down' book so far, this book you just have to read, read, read until the end, and especially the ending of book #2 I ran out to the store to buy #3...

3.0 out of 5 stars There was too many charachters but their stories were good.
The book had a good story, but leaving you hangigng, wanting to find out what happens next isn't very nice. Since I read this book I am buying the next one in the series for you don't know if a girl dies, a girl becomes a model, or if certian romances come to be! I think I'll just find out what the conclusion is to this book in the next book then stop, before I start...

4.0 out of 5 stars A great teen book!, June 5, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Reality Check (Clearwater Crossing, #2) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is definitely one of those books you CANNOT put down! I read the whole thing in 1 day. It is so easy to relate to everyone in this book! If you are a teenager I'd definitely recommend it... especially if you're a hopeless romantic like me! After I finished this book I immediately started reading the next in the series (Heart & Soul) and I'm already half-way through that book too! This series is definitely a great one to get hooked on!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a GREAT book!, January 1, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Reality Check (Clearwater Crossing, #2) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is a great book and you have to read it if you ever get your hands on it. The reason that I liked this book so much is because it mixes alot of feelings alltogether in a story. I used to read R.L. Stine horror flicks but when I started reading these, I got hooked! They are all good and I have read them up to Reality Check. They are addictive and when you can't put them down for a second, you know that they are a good book. If you are the type of person who likes young love, suspense, emotional struggles and things like that, this is the series for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Reality Check Review, April 24, 2004
This review is from: Reality Check (Clearwater Crossing, #2) (Mass Market Paperback)
Peter finally discovers that he is in love with his best friend, Jenna. He is forever trying throughout this book to tell her, but is crushed when he gets the wrong idea about Jenna and Miguel.

Nicole is out to wreak revenge on Jesse for dumping her. She decides to enter a modeling contest, but is dreaming of winning even before it starts.

Jenna is at a family civil war with her roommate Maggie. Maggie dumps her unmentionables in the floor; Jenna hangs them out the window. Maggie puts up weird-looking posters; Jenna puts up a room divider. Jenna insults Maggie's school dance date and dress; Maggie puts a picture of Jenna on the Internet--and a rather embarrassing one to boot. Jenna tells her parents and Maggie is grounded.

4.0 out of 5 stars Reality Check, January 19, 2000

This book had a way of bringing me together with my feelings and I was able to connect to it emotionally. It reminded me a lot of Lurlene McDaniel's books.

4.0 out of 5 stars This is such a good book, but there is only one problem..., December 6, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Reality Check (Clearwater Crossing, #2) (Mass Market Paperback)
I woke up one morning and had absolutely nothing to do. I went to the library, and picked a book randomly off of the shelf. It was an awesome random choice! This book combines all of the emotions, love, hate, pain, excitement, and distress. I haven't read the first one in the series, and I still got sucked into it on the first page. The only this that I didn't like about this book is that it leaves you hanging. You never know what happens until you read the next one in the series. I think that this is just a way that the publishers get us to pay them money for buying the next book to find out what happened.

4.0 out of 5 stars "Reality Check" leaves you wanting more, October 2, 2003
This review is from: Reality Check (Clearwater Crossing, #2) (Mass Market Paperback)
Laura Peyton Roberts' "Clearwater Crossing" is a deceptively engaging series. Although on first glance the books might look like any other teenage drivel (i.e. the "Love Stories" or anything with the words "Sweet Valley" on the cover), they are far from it. They are very well-written, with interesting characters, and each book has a "cliffhanger" ending designed to leave you wanting more.

"Reality Check" is the second book in the CC series. Like all the others, it encompasses several different plots. Although all the plots are believable and most are interesting, not all of the characters are likeable and some, like egocentric football player Jesse Jones, are downright loathsome. (On a note not directly related to this book, one has to wonder why Melanie Andrews - easily the best, most multi-dimensional character in the series - has such an emotional investment in him for so long).

Although all the books have the aforementioned cliffhanger endings, this one in particular has an ending that should leave the reader desperate to find out what happens next.

4.0 out of 5 stars This is the best book!, December 6, 1998

I woke up one morning, and had absolutely nothing to do. So, I decided to got to the library and take out a book. I picked this one randomly off of the shelf. It was the best random chioce I've ever made! It was really, really good. The only problem it that at the beginning, it sounded like it would be one of those corny trash novels, but I was wrong! It is an amazingly written book that combines all of the emotions including love, hate, pain, and regret. I suggest to all of you to read this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars I think that the book was GREAT!!!, January 5, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Reality Check (Clearwater Crossing, #2) (Mass Market Paperback)
Reality Check was a great book. I got to read it thanks to my very good friend who is sharing the series with me. I think that Miguel and Leah make a great couple considering their characters. Jenna is just a little nosey, though considering the fact that she hasn't told them that she knows about their relationship. Melanie seems like a great person, and I feel sorry for her when she has the accident...but just wait those of you who haven't read Heart & Soul. Jesse seems like a very annoing person...especially because of his problem. Nicole is a person that would probably make a good couple with Jesse, but I'm not so sure. Peter and Jenna have a pretty good friendship going and I think Peter will ruin it if he breaks his crush on Jenna.
