Book Description

December 8, 2004
When a crazed Emir coerces a brilliant German gang into stealing neutron missiles from a secret complex in the New Mexico desert, world peace is forfeit. The official investigation can’t move fast enough, so it’s up to Dr. Peter Shepherd to recover them before Jerusalem is destroyed.

Shepherd and his mentor, Dr. Jeremiah Longstreet are inventors of an experimental new technology that manipulates reality at the sub-atomic level, secretly called the “Reality Skew.”

Pete enters Sharkaif along its coastline in disguise, intent upon using Skew power to find and ruin the missiles. Rapidly discovered, Pete's fate is uncertain.

Pete must use gritty determination as well as Skew power to save a holy city and reverse a madman’s plan to create a new Arabian Empire as “Mahdi,” the leader foretold by the ancient prophesies.

To win the battle he must first find and then destroy the missiles, but the odds are not good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ever wished you could skew the odds in your favor?, March 11, 2009

Ever wished you could skew the odds in your favor? Or maybe get a do over when something goes wrong? Of course - we all have! "The Reality Skew" is technology that operates at the subatomic level where the 'reality' we're familiar with is replaced by strings and membranes that we need ten or more dimensions to mathematically conceptualize! Probability exists as a shower of virtual particles. With the Skew, the probable and improbable can be interchanged, and what did happen doesn't necessarily have to have happened!

You don't have to understand the science. You just have to find a comfortable chair, strap on your seat belt, and take off on a fast-paced action-packed adventure as Pete Shepherd, along with his mentor Dr. Jeremiah Longstreet, and two savvy female associates attempt to find and recover two nuclear missiles stolen by a German gang, from a national laboratory in New Mexico, and headed for a hostile Emirate in the Persian Gulf.

The pacing is great. The narrative was so descriptive I felt like I could almost see what was happening! All the way through, I kept thinking this would make a good movie!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Reality Skew, February 22, 2005
By
Roy A. Henley (Spicewood, TX USA) - See all my reviews

This review is from: The Reality Skew (Paperback)
"The Reality Skew" is easily representative of a Dean Koontz, Stephen Coonts, David Lindsey novel all rolled into one exciting book! The plot is facinating, and the characters seem to come alive on the pages, they're so believable. Robert Allgeier has successfully captured the imagination and interest of anyone reading this novel with his straight forward writing and clear descriptive narrative and dialog. The excitement he has created will grip the reader from start to finish! "The Reality Skew" is adventure, science fiction and genuine mind gripping drama, set between 332 pages of an outstanding, "can't-put-it-down" novel. I can't wait for the sequel!
