i downloaded this book after i heard about it on twitter from [...]. the breakfast recipes in this book are different from anything in my other cookbooks. interesting pancake and muffins with flavors that i haven't tried anywhere else. i plan to use this book to cook my christmas eve brunch! it doesn't hurt that fabio is very charming and i can hear his accent as i read the recipes. looking forward to more e-book releases from fabio.

great book, have just moved out and since i am a fan of Fabio (TC all stars), and can't live off two minute noodles and take out forever, decided to part with the princely sum of $3 to try it out. Recipes are great, very simple and ingredients and utensils are things you would normally find around your house. Also, Fabio tells me I will most likely go to heaven :)!

What a great e-book! I never felt like I was reading a cookbook! The recipes are easy to follow and not difficult to make for someone who doesn't have much cooking experience. You feel like an Italian Chef when reading the recipes! Thank you for helping make breakfast simpler to prepare.

I just bought my wife a kindle for christmas and she loves it, her first e-book she bought was "Did I really make breakfast???" by Chef Fabio Viviani. She has become a fan of Fabio since she starting watching this season's top chef all stars. She loves his unique direction that he takes when he creates his dishes and was curious to learn more about him so she purchased his book. She totally respects Fabio even more and cant wait to see what he is going to do next, she said this is a must have book if your a fan of cooking and a fan of Fabio. Its worth it!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Dreamy Recipes for Breakfast or Brunch, November 6, 2011

This review is from: Did i Really Make Breakfast ??? (Well... Grandma did help a lot) (Kindle Edition)
I downloaded this book yesterday and started making the recipes the next day. Today I made the Bacon and Onion Pie which was absolutely delicious. The only problem I had was that the deep dish pie crust I bought was not big enough for the egg mixture so I just ended up using a little less. Next time I'll only add 1 cup milk instead of the 1 1/2. If I had made my own pie crust I doubt this would have been an issue. You can make this recipe with one cup less cheese as well and use half the butter. I also substituted turkey bacon for the smoked bacon and used cheddar cheese in place of the Swiss. You can also use a yellow onion instead of the red onion. Either way your pie is going to turn out fantastic. This pie would be great for brunch on a Sunday morning. That is when I made it and it was fun to go back to bed while the pie cooked in the oven. Also you don't need a food processor to make the filling - I just used a whisk.

I also made the banana bread but made a few little changes. Like I substituted 1/4 cup muscovado sugar for 1/4 cup of the granulated sugar. This gave the bread a more molasses flavor. I left out the nuts an added two teaspoons banana flavoring and two teaspoons vanilla. You could also use apple pie spice to make it more of a holiday bread. I can see myself making this bread often with variations to keep it interesting. This is hands down the best banana bread I've ever made. It was light and fluffy not heavy at all. More the texture of a delicate cake. Simply amazing.

Some of the other recipes I want to try include: Basic Frittata, Apple Maple Pancakes, Tarragon and Bacon Scramble, Mushroom Medley Omelet (Shiitake, oysters and button), Banana Bread and Apple & Cinnamon Bread. There are a lot of recipes in this cookbook to love. Enjoy.

P.S. Look up "Fabio Viviani Italian Meatballs" in google search for the best meatballs you will ever taste! I made them tonight and

can I say WOW! One thing I did is I used an electric mixer to blend together all the ingredients. Was much faster than making

by hand as suggested. If you make 3-ounce meatballs you will have 15 meatballs. I also used a bottle of Classico Fire Roasted Tomato and Garlic to cook the meatballs in. Much easier than making your own sauce. Just use a splatter guard - tomato sauce gets really hot and can burn you. So I suggest you put all the meatballs into a cold sauce and then heat with the splatter guard on. Also the recipe calls for salt to taste but this is difficult to do since you can't taste raw meat. Well you could but maybe not. I put 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoning salt in the mix and it turned out great.

I bought Chef Fabio's cookbook last week through the Kindle for Mac application. What an easy, painless way to get a book into your hands instantly.

I've never been much of a breakfast cook, throwing out the cereal and toast for my family. But Fabio's book was so chock full of tempting, easy recipes, I just had to man up and actually cook for my family. I'm so glad I did. His recipes, so far, have been a total win in this household. My husband is the cook in our house. He too, is an Italian man brought up by an Italian Mama cook and I rarely can outdo him. He can't stop talking about the Cheddar and Vidalia Onion Pie. My daughters loved the apple maple pancakes w/the salty, spicy bacon. And my favorite, so far, is the banana bread. The generous amount of nuts gives the bread, the perfect texture.

I plan on cooking many more of these great recipes. Looking forward to Fabio's next cookbook. I really need a good lasagna, one that can rival my Italian mother-in-law's!

Keep it up, Fabio. Love the cookbook.
