I grew up with carob. I love it, I'm used to the toasted kind and didn't know that raw was available until now. Now that I've tried the raw version I won't go back. The raw flavor is lighter, more friendly and just tastes smoother on the tongue to me. With any carob powder know that it gets everywhere when measuring it so just be extra careful and gentle with it and you'll be okay. If you like carob powder try this version! You might be pleasantly surprised!

The makers of this raw carob do a fantastic job. I add a tablespoon to my PERO coffee, with Stevia to sweeten or honey, a drip of vanilla extract and silk soymilk, it tastes like hot chocolate, I drink it every day once or twice a day, like most folks drink coffee. Being alergic to chocolate this raw carob really fills my cravings. I really like the raw carob because it doesn't upset my stomach. For some reason the roasted carob upsets my stomach. I can't explain it, but raw tastes great! Thank-You!!!

This product is the best tasting raw carob on the market! I love it's flavor and texture it provides my recipes.

I bought this because I have a family member that is allergic to chocolate and thought I would give it a try. I made him brownies using this and they turned out to be the best brownies I had ever had. Everyone liked them so much that I now have requests to make them for birthdays. If you have never had carob, this is the one to try. Wonderful flavor and since it is raw it better for you.

Raw carob powder is so hard to find. I gave this as a Christmas gift to my uncle who cannot find raw carob powder.

I've never had "raw" carob powder before, so I thought I would try this out. It's not bad. Since it is not roasted, it has a very mild flavor, and is less chocolate-like than the roasted Carob. So if you use Carob as a chocolate-substitute, you would probably find that this product is not what you want. But if you can appreciate Carob as a separate individual food, then it's worth a try. I thought the price was a bit high, though.

Good flavor and a great carob. I like that extra nutrients are saved from it being raw. Nice size bag as well.

Great product, perfect substitute for chocolate, same taste without the side effects of caffeine, oxalic acid, and theobromine. Carob, also known as St. John's bread, algarroba, locust bean, and locust pod, is a healthful substitute for chocolate. The slightly sweet powder is relatively low in calories, and it is thought to be a good source of potassium.
Carob does not contain cholesterol, caffeine, theobromine, and oxalic acid, as chocolate does. Its natural sweetness also reduces the need for big doses of additional calorie-laden sweeteners, as are found in most products made from naturally-bitter chocolate.
