Finally a book that goes straight to the heart of the matter (my heart) and answers the question, How do I change? Absolutely Biblical. You are challenged to come to a place where you no longer make excuses for misbehavior. God's Word is sufficient. Not only to examine my life but to prescribe the process of change, permanent change. I am going to order a dozen for our church. Thank you James MacDonald

Forget secular self help books, this book gives you a structured biblical approach to change that really works, I bought the Tape eries from his web site for over $50 because I loved the book so much.

The strategies only work if you commit and put faith in God.

There are areas about each one of us that need changing - the Bible has set Christ-like traits that all of us struggle to apply to our lives. Yet, if we are honest with ourselves - we desire to change - we desire to be like Him - we know something is missing. This book walks you through how you can change the way God wants us to change, as stated through the Bible.

James MacDonald does an excellent job of pointing out wrong ways we go about change and gives a mandate for serious change. I couldn't put this book down - it's honest, biblical, and serious about change, do not buy this book unless you are serious about change. Then, and only then, will this book be profitable to you. May this book be as beneficial to you as it already has for me - I gurantee you that you will not leave this book without some sort of positive change.

In a way, the book should be titled, "I Really Want to Repent...So, Help Me God" because the focus of the book *is* about change through true repentance.

Having said that, it was a difficult (in a good way) book for me to read as it forced me to face my sins and make a decision as to whether I would trust God or if I would continue to do things my way.

If you're struggling with depression or something similar, it may not necessarily be the book to read because it's possible to be depressed and not fully understand the source of the depression. I think in this case, praying to God and asking Him to reveal the source; there are so many different factors that cause depression.

While it is a challenge, I highly recommend this book for anyone who is seriously desiring to change ... that is repent and turn away for their sins.

I slowly worked through this book more than once. My attitude changed towards my former husband. After 10 years of separation I offered to reconcile.It is an excellent book.

James is just as candid with his writing as he is in speaking. He is a conversational writer that gets to the point and his points are always well poised. If you are looking for biblical instruction that is easily applied to your life, this is a read for you. I've taught numerous sermons based upon this writing and would recommend it to anyone seeking life change based on Godly principles.

Hope for those who are tired of failing. This book gets to the heart of the matter, no new age psychology just the bare bones of the biblical perspective for real change. If you only want to be reassured or feel good about the problem you are facing, this is not the book for you. IF you however want real change, be prepared to work. This is a Christian book; the whole premise is about FAITH. There is ONLY ONE answer, ONE true source of success. Real change is possible to those who are willing to make the commitment and willing to acknowledge the ONE TRUE source for overcoming. It is written in simple everyday language, a letter from a survivor who lived through the experience who is encouraging another. If you've tried everything in your power to change and failed every time you tried, give this book a chance. I was blessed, encouraged and given hope.

I would like to commend Pastor McDonald for his honesty. This is the second book that I've read and I spend every free moment reading his book. It has had a profound effect on me and how I deal with everyday life. My Mentor recommended that I read another book of Pastor McDonalds' which led me to this book. It changed my outlook, it helped me adjust my attitude at work and how I deal with people in general every single day. I'm saving up to go to Pastor McDonald's church, I must meet one of God's chosen. Pastor McDonald thank you for "Lord Help Me Change My Attitude Before It's Too Late" and "I Really Want To Change So Help Me God". May God continue to Bless you.

This author doesn't pull any punches...most convicting book I've ever read. Good scripture use and examples. Now one of my favorite authors.

If you are really serious about changing with God's help, this is the book for you.
