Here are three links that say you are wrong: http://gear.ign.com/articles/117/1175992p1.html http://www.gamepro.com/article/news/220912/zoom-for-kinect-available-august-23/ http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2011/08/08/nyko-zoom-for-kinect-delayed-until-september/
While I do, generally, share your disdain for Nyko products, they have actually thought of something out of the box and that is greatly needed for Kinnect customers. Not only that, several people thought it was the hardware to beat at the last e3. Take your time to read up on it.
Thought about ordering it but well not sure when this item actually come out and will delivered. Release date been pushed back twice and price fluctuates 29 to 25 to again 29 then packaging 4 days and delivery 5+ days by Amazon.com ... will see
It's $24 right now. i'm ordering mine. I think that's the lowest it'll go and if u order it now amazon sells it to you at the lowest price. I don't think it's gonna go any lower. If it works: awesome! and if it doesn't then just return it to amazon, no questions asked. I always return stuff i don't like and they always refund my money back so it's up to you if you want this product or not. Plus, i live in california so sales tax are 8.75 or something like that so by buying at amazon i don't pay tax which is cool!
I hope this Zoom works. Currently we have to move some tables and chairs around to make extra space for kinect stuff. If it works, that would make Kinect more convenient. Any idea idea of the weight? or if that would be an issue. I know Kinect has a small motor to tilt the lens...I would be bummed if the added weight of the Zoom burned out the motor.
it doesn't look like it'll be heavy on kinect since i think it'll be like putting sunglasses on ur kinect to see closer :) If it doesn't work then i'll send it back. our bigger concern for playing kinect is the space required to play
