A great read!,

The Realm: The Awakening Begins is one heckofa rollercoaster ride! Suspense, fear, joy, love, peace, hopelessness and hope all wrapped up in one book with great, believeable characters. Glanville certainly has the ability to make you feel you are truly "there".
As a homeschooler, this is a book I will share with students in our local Co-op. The hope it brings while wrapped around such a great story will encourage many a reader, no matter what age. I have read it, (I'm 44), my son is reading it, (he's 15) and any age will be touched by the honesty portrayed by Glanville's characters. Get this book! And read it to your kids!

Great Book!,
This review is from: The Realm: the Awakening Begins (Paperback)
A great story filled with spirits, magic, and a battle between the forces of good and evil. It adds the depth of meaning behind the story that I wished the Harry Potter series had, something like JR Tolkein or CS Lewis. Great for youth or adults. Looking forward to the rest of the series!dominsions.com

This is one of the most intriguing and engaging books I have read in a while. The descriptions of real and dreams are so vivid and the story increasingly suspenseful; it's a "you can't put it down" type of book. Looking forward to part 2!

I really enjoyed this book. The writer did well in describing the scenery, it was as if i was there. When Graisia has her dreams I really thought I was there! This book has a great message of the difference between love and hate, light and dark and it is excellent for the pre-teen to teen readers as well as adults. It is a cross between J.K Rowling's Harry Potter books and Frank Perretti's Piercing the Darkness and This Present Darkness books. It will keep you wanting to read more. This book is the first of the series and I look forward to her second one later this year. I recommend pre-teens and up to read it.

Brings spiritual awareness through a great story,

This is a story about the spiritual realm which is fictionalized and slightly allegorical in nature. It comes very close to the real thing however. On the surface Glanville provides a setting which comes alive as a third world country in the modern era where survival is the primary business du jour. Under the surface, however, we see the battle for men's minds and souls through spiritual forces. The choice between good and evil exists for the heroine as well as the villain as the conflict between the two paradigms rages through the minds and hearts of the characters. I highly recommend it.
