As a homeschooling mother, I love this series. My son, now age 7, completed A Reason for Handwriting A last school year. The level B allows him to continue to practice his letters while learning scripture. Each week there is a scripture, written in kid friendly language that he learns. For the first three days of the week he practices writing 2-3 words from that scripture. On day 4, he traces the scripture in its entirety. On day 5, he decorates a "border page" and writes the scripture himself. The border pages are black and white pictures on a page located in the back of the book. He then decides what to do with his writing. Sometimes he mails it to a friend or family member. We have many taped around our house. He is learning God's word while learning to write neatly. The program is not too time consuming and he seems to like it better than practicing rows of "A", "B", etc. There are practice pages at the beginning of the book that do that, but we skipped them and went directly to the weekly lessons. He still remembers many of the scriptures from last year. I would recommend this program to any Christian parent who wants to help improve their child's handwriting while instilling Bible scriptures.

I absolutely love this handwriting program. We had tried handwriting without tears and it just didn't do well for my daughter. We gave this one a shot and so far she has really enjoyed it. We have gone through several lessons and she has not gotten bored yet. Her handwriting has really improved and she is finally not complaining about writing. We like that she also learns scripture while writing. It has plenty of practice pages and works really well with the skills your child has already developed.

I love this series of writing books and have used them for years with my
sons. Could use a little more repetition with a review of each letter from the day before, but I remedy this by saving a line or two from each days work for review the following day. I have tried several other programs but this one was best for us.

My son loves reading and writing the Bible verses. He enjoys the colorful pictures and can't wait to finish his lessons so that he can color the picture pages.

My son (4th grade) does fine in cursive, and all his papers at school require cursive writing. But for notetaking and writing down assignments, his printing was illegible. We had many nights where neither he nor I could decipher the assignment from his printing. I don't know if it was carelessness or the difficulty of looking back and forth between the board and the assignment book, or some combination. Regardless, it was a hopeless mess. So after reading a sensational book called "The Year of Miss AGnes", my son told me he would like it if I would do what the teacher in that book did: read out loud to him while he practices handwriting. I got this book for practice, and I read to him 30 minutes a day. We were both willing to take this on, and his printing has shown BIG improvements in speed and legibility. This was a worthwhile purchase. There are letters to practice, then using those letters in word practice, then using those words in Bible verses practice (which also gives punctuation and capitalization practice -- sneaky!) I especially like the tear-out pages at the back of the book -- they are fancy pages to show off good printing on Scripture verses. High quality book -- great results.

I like this book for what it is and that you remember versus and learn the writing at the same time. What was hard was my 5 year old had a hard time with the length of each assignment. Boys are the slower developing side and was too much all at once. I had to shorten the assignment for him.
