5.0 out of 5 stars BEST SINGLE OF THE YEAR!!!, December 29, 2002

TRACK 3 (THE LANGE MIX) IS PURE DANCE! If you like Kate Ryan's SCREAM FOR MORE MAXI-CD, then you'll worship Ian Van Dahl! Also, if you're into artists like DJ Encore, Alice Deejay & Iio you will not be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reason ~ Ian Van Dahl, October 21, 2005

Reason~ Ian Van Dahl is a great vocal trance and Ian Van Dahl is an extremely good vocalist which is not usually the case when one considers trance. The lyrics are also a bit better and she sounds like she is actually singing about something worthwile. I love the start of the track with very kraftwerk sounding drum noice. It reminds a bit of Electric Cafe and the baseline sounds like they borrowed some of it from Front 242's album Tyranny for You. One pointer though, the drum sound later in the track is not as strong as it could have been, but beside this it is a very strong track.

5.0 out of 5 stars Vocal trance at its best, February 23, 2004
By

I was very disappointed with Ian van Dahl's latest album, "Ace." However, I do recommend that people get "Reason," as it is probably one of the best songs on there. (Some other songs to check out are "Castles In The Sky" (a good, but overrated song) and "Will I?") This song is a great example of vocal trance at its finest. The lyrics are creative and Annemie's voice really shines... unlike some of her other songs, in which the lyrics are a complete disaster and the beats are very awkward.

If you like vocal trance groups from Belgium (Milk Inc, Lasgo, Sylver, etc.), then you need to get this song.

4.0 out of 5 stars great song, but cd should contain better mixes, October 6, 2002

I bought this CD. It does not have instrumental Minimalistix & Lange Mixes, but it features a great and powerful remix by DJ Shog. Unfortunately, many quality mixes have never been released on cd in any country and are available on vinyl only:

Reason (Mark Lawrence remix)
Reason (Hemstock and Jennings Remix)
Reason (Triple R Remix)
Reason (Original mix)

5.0 out of 5 stars Uplifting Trance Towards a State Of Eternal Bliss....!, September 24, 2002
This review is from: Reason (Audio CD)
"TRANCE",uplifting, epic, and euphoric is the style of this millenium, and the next generation. And no doubt, the unique style of IAN VAN DAHL is something so electrifying, that its certain aura, its pulsating energy will remain the hearts and minds forever. The tracklistings on the "Reason" cd-maxi single includes:
1.REASON(UK Radio Edit)
2.REASON(Extended Mix)
3.REASON(Lange Remix)
4.REASON(Perfect Sphere Remix)
5.REASON(Minamilistix Remix)
6.REASON(Dee Dee Remix)
7.REASON(Kraxler & Schwartz Remix)

Overall, all the mixes are excellent! My favorites are the "Lange Remix", which has a melodic feel touch, and the "Perfect Sphere", and the "Dee Remix", which is has a more progressive house flavor...At last, this CD is a great buy, you do get all the mixes. The only mix that is not included is the "Hemstock and Jennings Remix", but I have listened to it on the "Addicted To Trance" compilation by MOS, and it's more geared towards hard house, for those light night ravers.
