Reason's articles are more than just libertarian-biased reporting of and commentary on the news. They approach every topic with eyes wide open, and challenge the traditional right/left paradigm by simply asking whether there are only two ways to look at it. Their investigative journalism is deep and effective, tearing down the ivory towers that protect powerful people such as Mississippi's Dr. Stephen Hayne, whose shoddy forensic work has likely sent countless innocent people to prison.

Having read Reason for several years, I find that I can no longer stand to read the opinion and puff pieces that pass for "journalism" in daily newspapers and most other magazines. Reason is what journalism should be.

Reason is Amazing September 28, 2008
By David
Reason is one of my favorite magazines. It offers a (libertarian) perspective that you don't find in many publications. The writing is generally very good and the magazine covers a wide range of topics. My favorite section is the humorous brickbats, but they also have in-depth research and opinion articles, biographies, and interviews.

Good Articles...Bad Navigation February 12, 2010
By RebKel
I purchased one issue of REASON to evaluate the magazine. While the articles were varied and well written, the lack of a table of contents was quite frustrating. The only method to preview and navigate between article was to sequentially scroll forward or backward through the entire magazine which really detracted from the reading experience. I will happily upgrade my rating when a table of contents or some other form of article preview and navigation is provided.

I would like to say up front that I love the content of Reason Magazine. Yes, it is biased. However, it is up front about it.

Libertarian
Finally I found a Libertarian magazine! Good and in-depth analysis in every article, too bad it appears only once a month.
