This review is from: Reasonable Accommodation: Profitable Compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (St Lucie) (Hardcover)
The first section of this book provides a ten-step process for implementing the Americans with Disabilities Act Criteria. The majority of the book is comprised of Case studies of different companies and what they have done to accommodate different disabilities as the goal of the book is to highlight profitable compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act. There is also a section with case studies for different rehabilitation organizations.
In the Appendix there is a very helpful section- ADA in Action: a Supervisor's Guide. This section provides an ADA Awareness Quiz, it describes "disability", and "essential functions of a job", and examples of "reasonable accommodation", plus, it gives you the do's and don'ts of the interviewing process and etiquette for working with people with disabilities. I wanted examples of more accommodations at small business instead of the big expensive ones accomplished by the big companies. |
