This is an excellent text book. It is comprehensive in the coverage of the subject matter which it treats with great clarity and thoroughness. Each of the chapters that deal with aspects of critical thinking is accompanied by exercises and literary and philosophical texts or extracts from texts are provided that illustrate varieties of argumentation. I recommend this text very highly.as a valuable tool for teachers and an accessible one for students.
