What makes this single unusual? The sort of inner battle between truth and unconsciousness in us saved by a heart beating as a reason for living told in the lyrics and that "Reasons for Living" was originally made as a ballad song whose dance La Leche, Madamix and Johnny Vicious (Madonna's "Myles Away" maxi single contributor) remixes break the romantic style that Duncan Sheik would manage in a monolithic career for many years of a prolific future.

Rare and very highly recommended single of a handsome singer never interested in dance music.
