5.0 out of 5 stars Challenging and Exciting
I have loved Rebecca's music since she came out with her self-title in 94. Her first full length video did not disappoint. The video is centered around Rebecca herself and not her music. A lot of it is an interview which is very hard-hitting and challenging with music in the background. It also shows some concert clips and has the "God" video as well. The...

1.0 out of 5 stars Great artist, Bad video
Rebecca St. James' music is refreshing. Her songs encompass a fairly wide variety of styles (from pop to folk to techno) and are full of surprises. The lyrics are thoughtful and thought-provoking. She's got a stong, pleasant voice (although I have heard some people complain about the 'whine' she's inflected into all her CD's except the first; doesn't bother me at...

5.0 out of 5 stars Challenging and Exciting, January 2, 2000
This review is from: Rebecca St. James - Where there are no secrets there are no lies [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The only downside is that if you order from Amazon, the special single "I Believe in God" is not included. I'd pick this one up at your local Christian bookstore.

5.0 out of 5 stars A TRUE talent..., January 21, 2000

I have NEVER heard or seen a person ever like this, and I NEVER will! The music is proved AWESOME! The ministry is proved to be AWESOME! AND Now, the video is proved to be PHONOMENOL! Rebecca is the sweetest and kindest person U will EVER meet! I LUV Her to death! I would not be here today if God would not have put her in my life! Rebecca and her family are so close and U will see that in this video! I especially love her stand against premarital sex. I am a 16 year old (almost) male sophomore in High School and if I did not have God, Rebecca, and my family, I would not be able to stay a virgin! It is sooo hard out there! I luv Rebecca, and without her Christian Music would not be the same...get this video, it will MOVE U!

5.0 out of 5 stars WONDERFUL, January 7, 2000
This review is from: Rebecca St. James - Where there are no secrets there are no lies [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I LOVE IT! ANY FAN OF CHRISTIAN MUSIC WOULD LIKE IT. ANY REBECCA FAN WOULD LOVE IT. IT'S NOT ALL SONGS. MOST OF IT IS INTERVIEWING, WHICH GETS DOWN TO THE MOST SERIOUS QUESTIONS! AND THE SINGLE "YES, I BELIEVE IN GOD" IS WONDERFUL!

This VHS rox! Becca's ministry is amazing! I only gave it 4 stars because it can get kinda boring, but the "Pray" Video at the end is totally rad! And when I bought it I got a Special Yes, I Believe In God Single with 2 unreleased remixes! Buy it!

Rebecca St. James' music is refreshing. Her songs encompass a fairly wide variety of styles (from pop to folk to techno) and are full of surprises. The lyrics are thoughtful and thought-provoking. She's got a stong, pleasant voice (although I have heard some people complain about the 'whine' she's inflected into all her CD's except the first; doesn't bother me at all). My biggest test for an artist is the number of times I can consecutively listen to the CDs without getting bored and having to move on. I believe she's got the record for me. I especially like her her 'Pray' CD. On the other hand, this video is weak. It appears to have been pieced together by someone with very little experience with these things. I liked how it portrayed Rebecca as an honest, family-oriented good Christian girl, but it just drags on interminably - I couldn't get through it. The interview in the field interjected with videotaped well-wishers is unbelievably hokey. Buy the music, forget the video.
