5.0 out of 5 stars Truth or Dare?
The seventh installment in the Fearless series is not dissapointing in the least. Once more, Gaia Moore's world comes alive for the reader. _Rebel_ is one whole book basically dedicated to the art of Truth or Dare... fearless style. Mary and Gaia turn the game dangerous and Ed is basically helpless to stop it. Also, a drug dealer from Mary's past comes out and makes...

3.0 out of 5 stars Rebel - Fearless #7
I awaited this book, but it wasn't the best of the series. I thought more action was going to happen with the characters, but the characters only ended up playing this juvenile truth or dare game. I did like the fact that the whole Tom-Katia-Gaia-Loki connection was explaned. That was awesome. And forget Sam, Gaia needs to go for Ed. And Ella needs to get a life and not...

5.0 out of 5 stars Truth or Dare?, February 6, 2001
This review is from: Rebel (Fearless, No. 7) (Mass Market Paperback)
Also, a drug dealer from Mary's past comes out and makes his presence known demanding a debt from Mary. _Rebel_ bascially carries on with the grand tradition that the books before it set up. There is Francine Pascal's amazing writing skills combined with her flair for origionality and the usual smattering of well written fight scenes. I'd recommend the Fearless series to any young adult.

5.0 out of 5 stars Truth or Dare, just a lil game...right?, August 10, 2001
This review is from: Rebel (Fearless, No. 7) (Mass Market Paperback)
Gaia learns the fun of playing Truth or Dare. Mary and Ed discover that she will ALWAYS do anything they say, including making out with Ed, and streaking a restaurant... Mary's acting funny, because she keeps seeing her old cocaine dealer everywhere. He threatens to kill her if she doesnt pay him the $500 she owes him. Will Mary tell Gaia about Skizz? Will the game of Truth or Dare ever end and will they find something she wont do?

I loooove this one...cause I loooooove Truth or Dare. *grin* But I HATE Skizz...he's a bad, bad person..

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Job, Ms. Pascal!, April 9, 2000

This book was pretty good. I wish Gaia and Sam would get together, but oh well. There were a couple of interesting scenes between Gaia and Ed that make you wonder if something could happen between them, but I'll let you read the book to find out what exactly happened. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys action-packed novels with lots of twists.

4.0 out of 5 stars I reluctanty give this the thumbs up., June 16, 2002

Though I still feel obligated to warn anyone who might start this series to stay away- it will bring only misery- I have to admit that this is one of the better Fearless books. The truth or dare game the Mary draws Gaia and Ed into is funny and exciting. Mary is a wonderful character, next to Ed I'd say she's my favorite.

Newsflash: Happy things in Gaia's life don't last long.

In this book Mary is approached and attacked by a drug dealer because she owes money. There's a lot of foreshadowing that Mary won't last long between the dealer and Loki, Gaia's psycopath of an uncle. Despite all this it is one of the more upbeat Fearless books and I'd reccomend to anyone already caught up in the twisted life of Gaia.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good, April 26, 2000
This review is from: Rebel (Fearless, No. 7) (Mass Market Paperback)
Well, it wasn't my favorite, but this book did reveal some more of the twisted history in Gaia's life. And a little action with Ed...She and Ed need to get together. But I look forward to see what will happen with Mary, who has fallen into Loki's bad graces.

5.0 out of 5 stars All these are great, April 8, 2000

I love all the books in the Fearless series. Francine is a truly brilliant author who knows how to express her characters well. It is so easy to relate to all of the characters, and even better, you find youself talking to them, telling Gaia not to go into the park! or telling Ella to stop being rude to Gaia! It really gets you involved and i recommend all seven of these books. (I can't wait for the next ones!) Happy reading!

it was a terrific book, as usual the characters were real, the issues are real. I can totally relate to both Gaia and...Heather? (weird but true.)

4.0 out of 5 stars very good, March 8, 2001
This review is from: Rebel (Fearless, No. 7) (Mass Market Paperback)
very different from other teen books i've read(thank god). the author's writing style = wow.sometimes hilarious. realistic characters with realistic problems.a little extreme, but acceptable. realistic dialogues.people do swear sometimes.finally, the differences between talking to parents and talking to friends are evident. no more focusing on hurl-inducing teens constantly falling for every cute boy/girl in sight and/or driving themselves crazy over some love problems as if they have no more important things to think about(pphhtt!it's not like they're going to get married any time soon).

but i think fear's not something that is formed genetically.genetically mutated is not the scientifically acceptable excuse for Gaia's inability to feel fear. but then again it is only a book. too many secret agents, gangsters, psychos and weirdos waltzing around(heather included). It seems like new york are dominated by these freaks. almost in desperate need of some new very normal characters with no cronic physical/mental-imparity, no study/beauty/drug-obsession, etc.just to remind the reader that gaia is still on planet earth. gaia and her friends always have time to run around the park playing chess/truth or dare and eating doughnuts all day.i thought students are to homeworks like antartica are to ice.

overall.fearless is the best young-adult book i've read.oh, and somebody should slash heather again.just to put her out of her misery for good.
