Editorial Reviews

2009 album from the Latin Hip Hopper. Pitbull is a Miami rapper who has been an independent artist and now signed to a major label. His 2004 debut album M.I.A.M.I. (Money Is A Major Issue) featured the hit single 'Culo' and became the biggest selling bilingual debut since Cypress Hill's self titled debut in 1991. With five subsequent chart-topping albums and a multitude of hit singles, including 'The Anthem' and 'Krazy', Pitbull continues to blaze trails and maintain his status as the #1 Latin artist on Myspace and beyond.

I had never heard of Pitbull before I heard "I Know You Want Me" on the local radio station. While I recognize that he's been around for a long time, we don't get that kind of music up here in the midwest.

That said, I really liked what I heard so I decided to pick up the CD. It's fantastic! Almost all of the songs have a great beat, which is exactly the kind of music I like to listen to. The last two songs ("Across the World" and "Daddy's Little Girl") are a bit slower and more mellow, but I still enjoy them. I keep this CD in my car and often find myself moving to the beat and singing along.

"Triumph" was a great way to start the CD; it really got my attention. And I agree: "Shut It Down" has the potential to be the next hit. I love "Krazy". "Girls" makes me laugh, but it grew on me. Generally, I listen to the CD from start to finish; if I skip anything, it's the interlude called "Dope Ball" and "Daddy's Little Girl". It's a good song with a good message, but it's a downer and I don't want to end on that kind of note.

If you want some hip-hop styled music with a Latin flair, this is a great CD.

We bought the cleaned up version of the CD and the whole family enjoys listening and singing along. We range in age from 22 to 58; my daughter gets a kick out of seeing us trying to dance to the music. It's great. Wish more of this genre was "cleaned up" so everyone could enjoy it together.

I usually know what to expect from Pitbull, and this one defintely met all expectations. I was actually glad to see an album with all music from him. His intros, skits and talking on other albums can sometimes be pretnetious and boring. It has some really good upbeat tracks. I love him!

Pitbull's newest album, Rebelution features many songs that have already been released. From Calle Ocho, Hotel Room Service to Krazy, you may think you already have every good song on this album. However every song especially (Shut it down, featuring Akon, Cant Stop Me Now, Trimph across Across The World) will have you singing and dancing. It is also amazing how this album is very personal and emotional at times (listen to Daddy's Little Girl) when dealing with the ups and downs of Pitbull's music career and pains of his childhood, while maintaining an upbeat dance/reggaton feel.

Pitbull has put out another great cd that can be played pretty much all the way through. The cd seems short compared to his previous cd's but at the same time he did away with a lot of the intro's & interludes that plagued his previous works. This cd has more of a electronica/pop/club feel than past cd's - but then again he is a self proclaimed club entertainer and is all about keepin' it live in da' club. He seems to have strayed away from the street heavy material & street hip-hop artists that he previously worked with (i.e. Fat Joe, Trick Daddy, Jim Jones...etc) - this cd is more about the party than trying to be tough. Mr.305 has done it again and I recommend this cd to anyone that can appreciate the type of music that he creates.

"GIVE THEM WHAT THEY ASK FOR" on Pitbull's new album a new song/beat created by POINT BLANK, THE MARKSMEN, opens the door for further serious growth in the hip hop/rap cosmos. I've been listening to music for years, always looking for the thrill of the new find; the artist that shows a new direction while taking along the musicality that can be forgotten in the rush for hits.

POINTBLANK THE MARKSMEN has done some work with David Rush and has now given new material to Pitbull. Pit's song "GIVE THEM WHAT THEY ASK FOR" is a hopeful sign we have someone new to look for and ask for,for beats that are music and give us what we want, the propulsion and tension and release that every memorable song creation seems to have.

The message? More POINT BLANK-THE MARKSMAN!

This CD is excellent. A great listen from start to finish. Not a week song on the entire cd. The commercial success Pitbull has been getting is well deserved. This is a fun collection of songs. Really, thats the only way to explain it. Keep your eye out for "Shut it Down" ft. Akon. That song will be HUGE.

The one thing that would have made this CD even better would have been if he included "Spring Love" with Stevie B., on here.

I've had this cd in my dashboard for months and months. I still hear it and I enjoy it very much.
If you are a Pitbull fan and are not sure if you should buy it I think you should. The one thing to be careful on Pitbull's music is that he's consistently coming out with new music and if you're the type of person that moves on to a different song as it comes out then you're wasting your time...just buy it off iTunes.
