3.0 out of 5 stars Real Dilla Fan, Not a Hater August 18, 2012
Format:Audio CD
This Cd was wasn't a total let down, but let's face it. JDilla wouldn't of approved any of these songs to be release except two, "pitfalls" (what is that interlude about?)and Danny Browns cut (first two verses)... the rest, either garbage or reused beats from other Jdilla releases creating a mess of the orignal works... I think J Dilla was ahead of his time, and his music will go on forever... but this is the FIRST TIME ever I bought a Dilla CD and wasn't impressed, inspired, or just totally outta control bouncing with that real live "ish". I gave it a 3 just cause Dilla name on it... really needs just a one... Makayla silver medal smirk... not impressed

4.0 out of 5 stars Damn I Miss Dilla August 30, 2012
Format:MP3 Music|Amazon Verified Purchase
I listened to the beats on this album and honestly realized at around track 12, we have truly lost a music god. No disrepect to some of the MC's but a beat from Dilla is nothing to bring your mediocre rap skills to the table. These are beats that should seriously be kept for the MC Gods. I understand that Dilla was loved by Detroit unconditionally, but the MC's didn't quite bring the rhyme skills to match the beats. I gave this 4 mics simply because Dilla's greatness on these tracks; I mean dude takes you through a sonic Utopia. Shouts to Amp Fiddler for doing his track some justice though and The MC's on the Dillatroit track, Super Emcee, Guilty Simpson and Nick Speed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Classic Dilla-troit! March 13, 2013
Format:MP3 Music|Amazon Verified Purchase
The beats are your classic Dilla joints. Some MC's on here werent so impressive, hence the 4 stars. If it was a straight instrumental album, or if Dilla (RIP) had some verses on the joint, it would be 5 stars.
