About the Author

Nancy Kilpatrick was born in the U.S. and now lives in Montreal, Canada with her black cat Bella. When not writing, she spends her time traveling the world, lecturing, and visiting castles, cemeteries, ossuaries and mummy mansions with her photographer companion Hugues Leblanc.

After reading Child of the Night and Near Death, I had high hopes for this book. Unfortunately, it fell far below my expectations. I can usually finish a book in a day or two, three max. I had to force myself to get through this novel. It's uneventful and consists primarily of the protagonist's flashbacks and thought processes rather than on any real plot. While the first two in this series were excellent, I won't bother reading the next book.
