Book Description

January 7, 2004

What happens when your ideals and desires, plans and strategies, all go awry? From what sources might one find the resolve to begin a rebuilding process? "The fact is," writes Gordon MacDonald in Rebuilding Your Broken World, "the God of the Bible is a God of the rebuilding process. And not enough broken people know that."

No stranger himself to brokenness, Gordon MacDonald draws from personal experience and discusses the likely sources of pain, the humiliation, and the long- and short-range consequences of a broken personal world. And he offers encouraging answers to the questions everyone asks when their worlds fall apart: Is there a way back?

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Insights for All Avenues of Christian Life August 21, 2001
Format:Paperback
MacDonald offers painfully insightful looks into the lives of "broken world people." I have witnessed many persons of great faith whose personal worlds have crashed down around them, and MacDonald's book offers hope and practical advice for rebuilding their lives. I especially appreciated the chapter devoted to strategies on how to avoid "broken world experiences." Great insights for every Christian!

5.0 out of 5 stars My broken world March 17, 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I heard this book discussed on the radio, Focus On The Family, and realized it was a good one for me to get. I was sure right. It was written by a man who went through what I did. I could relate to Gordon's situation and it is a great book of hope and proof of God's grace.
