2.0 out of 5 stars Health, wealth and prosperity with a little "gospel"
I'm astounded at how many are so easily swayed by this new emerging movement of "self-help" positivism that has come the way of infomercials, cheaply arranged seminars, and self-published manuals. As I giggle with incredulity, I see profiteers continuing on their way, preying on the undiscerning, feeble-minded, anti-intellectual.

obviously, there's a market,...

5.0 out of 5 stars Everybody Alive Needs To Read This Book, April 7, 2004
This review is from: Rebuilding from Ground Zero, An Empowering Guide to Building and Securing Wealth (Hardcover)
I am an MBA and a successful business owner. RFGZ was a gift I received from a friend. I wish I read this five years ago before starting my business. Everything I ever knew about life, money and business was blown away by the principles and truth contained in this book.

Honestly, America, nations, people, companies, families, relationships etc can be built succesfully going forward by following the simple steps this gift from God has shared with us. I watched Seni's interview on Family Network with Chuck and Jenni: He is one of the most humble individuals I have ever seen, yet very astute.

Also, through Seni's story and the principles shared in this book, it is clear that any one could succeed anywhere in the world. But living in America increases the chances by more than 10,000% - Seni came from the poor African continent to go to Yale, Wall Street, became entrepreneur of the year etc in spite of everything that could have counted against him. That is what America is all about.

His story is the Century's "Only In America" thriller.

I have read think and grow rich. It has helped me. But don't make a mistake. Seni and Napoleon Hill are not in the same league - Seni is a Doer (he wrote and espoused what he had done from his own personal experience and it worked for him and others and me too!!!); Napoleon Hill was a reporter (he interviewed 500 successful people but he never demonstrated the workings of those principles through his personal life and bank account, though the principles work).

I stand to be challenged on this, I am sure I will win because time will tell: This book is going to be a perrenial and classic bestseller in the league of How to Make Friends and Influence People, Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, Think and Grow Rich, The Power of Positive Thinking and The magic of Thinking Big.

I recommend it to everyone alive, even if you are at the top of your game. If you are able to consciously sleep before you finish reading this book, you are either too complacent or you are not ready to improve your life, relationship, career or bank account. Because I know there will be one word or formular that will pay you multiples of the cost of the book. Exactly that happened to me.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Outstanding Work From A sincere Heart, January 2, 2003
By A Customer
This guy is an amazing writer. He made wealth-building a simple, clear, and attainable goal for everyone. What I found unique about this book is the sincerity with which Seni demonstrated that Wealth Is A Reward for serving others. His personal story, the examples and the suggestions for building wealth from the scratch is phenomenon. His warning on avoiding overnight riches and building wealth just for the dough shows the kind of heart he has. He surprised me when he declared that America has been good to him and he will give part of the proceeds from the book to help others. I felt that was one of the greatest demonstration of generosity especially during this hard time. I will be surprized if the book does not become an all-round bestseller.

4.0 out of 5 stars Starting Over, July 9, 2003

Imagine the devastation you feel from losing your job. With unemployment upon you, there are so many questions floating around inside your head; how will you pay your bills and how will you eat? The whole experience becomes overwhelming as you struggle to remain positive. In trying to start over, one must start from ground zero, which is basically a person's lowest point. And it takes a strong individual to overcome the obstacles that are thrown in their way and rise to the top.

Author Seni Hazzan is all about helping others overcome financial issues and unhappiness with job situations. His book, REBUILDING FROM GROUND ZERO: AN EMPOWERING GUIDE TO BUILDING AND SECURING WEALTH, gives readers step by step advice on how they can gain financial stability and independence. It is also a good source for small business owners as it documents in detail mistakes the author overcame to become a successful entrepreneur.

This is an inspiring book because Mr. Hazzan uses his knowledge to help others who are starting a business or those who are looking to improve themselves financially. I recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple & Practical Wisdom, but a must if you want to succeed in the 21st Century, January 21, 2006
This review is from: Rebuilding from Ground Zero, An Empowering Guide to Building and Securing Wealth (Hardcover)
There are those who get rich selling principles and there are those who accomplish great things using principles. Evidently, Seni Hazzan is a businessman who uses principles in accomplishing and living an extra-ordinary life. He has been so selfless in taking time to share his life and experiences through this book. The things that really matter.

This is a simple, yet powerful book.

When I saw DJ's comment, I almost didn't want to pick up the book. Since a friend recommended it, I went against my natural inclination and bought the book. I am so glad I did.

I have always known everything Seni wrote about. Upon reading the book, I realized why my life was going no where and why my friend recommended it.

Looking at DJ's comment: I remember those people who always know the answer but never took a test; always stopping those who want to do the right thing, while they themselves were heading no where.

I have always known everything Napoleon Hill wrote about. But when I applied Think and Grow Rich's principles, my life took a new turn. So I am a big believer in taking a dose of inspiration from books, tapes, seminars or any worthwhile material that can get me and keep me out of the rut. It works.

Or which is better and cheaper: Learning from your own experience or from others?

Apparently, he weaved in his faith and belief in writing this book: The same principles that took him out of poverty, took him to Yale, Wall Street etc. He is a phenomenon teacher. In fact this book does not belong to the genre "self-help". This is a book about LIFE.

Why am taking my time to write this review: I DIDN'T WANT THOSE WHO NEED THIS PIECE OF ADVICE FOR THEIR NEXT LEVEL TO BE DISTRACTED, AS I ALMOST WAS. It is too good a book not to be shared with others.

It will be worth your time, money and effort. I am selective in what I put into my mind. I was glad my friend mentioned it to me. I am doing the same for you

This review is from: Rebuilding from Ground Zero, An Empowering Guide to Building and Securing Wealth (Hardcover)
I bought a signed copy of rebuilding from Ground Zero and read it through in one day. The reading was simple to understand and to apply. Since reading the book and properly applying the laws that Seni talks about I have been able to start my own corporation and have been blessed by God by making Him my Senior Partner. A must read for all of those who have to rebuild their lives from ground zeo.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Read, July 17, 2003
This is a book for Enron Management to read. It will help them to understand that wealth is a reward for serving and not for stealing from their shareholders and employees. Good insight for pursuing entrepreneurial ventures. A must read for someone also trying to understand his purpose in life.

obviously, there's a market, and the market responds. Such is the life and journey of this book -- recycled principles from self help guides, common sense ethics from the Book of Proverbs, and a touch of inspiration/perspiration sloganeering. The tragedy, though, is the debasing of Biblical theology and disorderly exegesis (if you can even call it that). God help those who put down the $10-$15 for these. I think I'll hit Applebee's and read the Times instead.

oh, and TWO stars instead of one because everybody deserves a little grace.

3.0 out of 5 stars okay book by itself... but it would AWESOME as a workbook, June 13, 2002
Hey,

Anyone who is a christian, or listens to christian radio in New York is familiar with 570 WMCA. I think the book is good, but it is obvious it was written in ten days. As far as business books go, I think this one is okay. HOWEVER, it would be awesome if his publishing company made available the REBUILDING FROM GROUND ZERO seminar on tape with the book redone as a workbook. I shelled out eighty dollars for a Les Brown package. I heard Seni on the radio and he is SO inspiring.

Sincerely,
Renee
