THis tape is great, I owwn it and rebuilt many engines in my time it is jsut a great tape to have to keep the concepts fresh in your mind.

I'm not a mechanic, but I recently decided to attempt an engine rebuild, so I purchased this tape. It's a little low quality, looks like it is shot with a camcorder in a garage, but the mechanic performing the instruction is very intelligent and goes through the entire engine rebuild process. He beaks the engine down, explains how to categorize all you parts, what to replace, what to keep, how to inspect the parts you want to keep. What to send to the machine shop, what to ask for. How to inspect the parts when they come back to ensure the work was done properly. Then he rebuilds the engine. He discusses all the different gasket choices, what after market mods he suggest to improve qulity over OEM parts. How to simply adjust the valves why the engine is still outside the car so it easier. A lot of tips and tricks that you would learn from a quality mechanic if you had one to show you how it's done; It's just a really great tape, I was surprised that it was better than I expected. Only bad points are the home video look, and I wish it came in DVD format. Other than that it's worth every penny.
