I spent hours and hours entering my passwords. It's a pain! Then, when you forget a password and need to go to the entry that you made .....you have to scroll through the entire list to find your entry.
Unless I can't figure out how to get to an entry by entering it's first letter. I'd rather hide a sheet of paper with my passwords than use this device.

I don't understand why Amazon puts this in the "toy" category, because no child should have a need to store hundreds of passwords! However, based on the product description from a reputable catalog, I purchased this. Big mistake! I expected a much more sophisticated product. (Perhaps that's why it's in Amazon's "toy" category?) Although it does (sort-of) operate as advertised, it is very poorly designed.

The primary reason I'm returning mine is that I have many passwords with special characters in them, and this device only allows 4 different special characters. I have no intention of changing all my passwords to comply with the product's limitations.

Another aggravation is that one must go through a long, tedious process just to enter all the data. Then, in order to update just one password, one must scroll through potentially hundreds of passwords just to update one.

The idea of a password vault is a great one, but this product has a long way to go before being remotely useful. The manufacturer needs to go back to the drawing board.

I didnt consider this a toy. I also wasnt too pleased with it. No backspacing. If you make an error you have to start all over. Very time consuming and annoying. Would not recommend it.Sorry!

i have to start off by saying that i wanted very badly to love this product, even just a lil bit would have been fine. the keypad is less responsive than i would have liked. i have very nimble fingers and found this device somewhat frustrating to use. it is also much thicker than i would like. i find it very impractical to carry around. i wanted an organizer that does not connect to a computer, but also one that is easy to use. maybe i would have liked this better if i did not have so many websites to enter already. between the tiresome entry of passwords and the thickness, it just did not live up to my expectations. sure it works, and does what it says, there is a ton of room for improvement in this device. i would have been happy to pay more for an organizer like this, if it were thinner and easier to use. and if this company were to redesign the product, and addressed those issues, i'd be willing to buy one.

summary, it works, but is lacking. this maybe a good product for some people out there, but not for me.

This is ridiculous. Most passwords must contain letters & symbols. This item has no capability of using symbols.
It is very unfriendly. There is no backspace so if you make a mistake, you start all over.
It is extremely slow in entering everything. Every single character has to be punched multiple times to get to the correct letter.

All in all, it is totally useless.

I did not buy this as a toy. I intended to use it to store the many userids and passwords I use on a regular basis. The default to enter my system password is numbers. Worked ok. Default to Add Site is lower case. Can't get a numerical value to appear for that line. Default for ID is lower case; can't get numerical value to go into this line; same for Password. I need the ability to have alpha and numerical characters n the same line. I consider this a piece of junk. As a toy it's definitely a piece of junk and as a serious useful tool it's a piece of junk. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!!

The way you get the numbers is to just heep hitting the key pad for instance if you want the number 3 just keep tapping the number it will come up after it goes through d e f it will go to 3 and to get a space just keep hitting the zero key good luck

P/W Vault has at least 3 major problems: 1) entering data is tedious on the 12 key keyboard; 2) the keyboard is missing many of the characters required for secure p/w's; and 3) every time you want to recall a p/w, you have to scroll through every entry, starting with the first "a," pressing the down arrow up to 400 times.

The first two problems could have been avoided by designing the product so that it had a USB connection to the user's computer; or better yet, Bluetooth.

The last problem could have easily been avoided by designing the software so that pressing keys in the view mode would search entries with those characers.

As it is, the RecZone Password Vault is useless.

Doesn't anybody ever try these products before they go on the market?
