Is this the end of the Human Race,

Earthmen stumble out into interstellar space and almost immediately tangle with the Galactic bullies. All life on Earth is wiped out except for a handful of the space patrol. However none of the space patrol ships contain any female crew. So this is the end of the human race. Well maybe not. This is not the best book I have ever read but it certainly is my all time favorite.

This book has an interesting approach to the physics of space travel and does a good job of integrating the tech and postulated physics consistently to space combat tactics.
Part of a memorable line: "we still have a Z". |
