This is a great seat for our son, that's why we ordered our second one. In addition this got the "Insurance Institutes Highway Safety(IIHS) booster seat review - - best bets(highest rating)([...]).

They were good enough that we swapped out her seats, and grandma's seats for these. So we replaced 4 car seats we already had, and now have 6 between all of us. Why? Because they're sturdy, and have the aluminum frame. The head rest is padded and seems like it'll cradle the head better (less whiplash). It doesn't slide into pieces when you pick it up. It's more of a pain to put the seat belt on securely, but that is because the points where the seat belt touch the seat bind the seat belt more tightly (lap points and shoulder loop).

Not that I'm a connoisseur of car seats, but I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a car seat.

We bought these for our children, ages 5 and 7, who are both of average size. The seats are comfy, especially for long car rides. The one drawback is that because of how the seat belt is routed through the car seat, the tension makes it somewhat difficult for our 5-year-old to buckle on his own. But that will pass as our 7-year-old has no problem with it.

Just wanted to say that my son loves his new booster seat. According to him it is very comfotable. Mom and I love the safety ratings for the seat. Everyone is happy all around. His only complaint was that there was no cup holder. Not a big issue for us, we can always buy a cup holder for him. FAST SHIPPING. Ordered this on August 1 and it was at our door on August 4...was not estimated until the 10th. Great response time from seller, it shipped the same day, and arrived in great condition. Even box, which kids are now using for a robot costume. Recycle away I guess.

I was in a bad crash and my 5 year old who is 40 LBS was in this seat. He was fine although the car was a total loss. I just bought another one. He says its very comfy on 60 mile rides and I would rather he has to lean a little to look out the window than not be protected on the side. For little ones make sure you strap them yourself in order to get the best belt tension.

I have 2 children and have been through more booster seats than I care to admit. In the past 2 years, we have owned a Britax Parkway, Graco Turbo Booster, a Cosco Combination Booster/Car Seat (not sure which model), an Evenflo booster (not sure which model), A Cosco Pronto, an Evenflo Big Kid Amp, a Harmony Youth booster seat, and 2 others which I can't recall the brand. I have to say that this Recaro Model surpasses every single one of our previous seats in terms of quality and comfort. This seat is super padded and plush. It is also super heavy (every other booster we own is very lightweight and flimsy including the Britax). The quality reminds me of my Britax Boulevard carseat that my son just grew out of. It is heavy duty and I am very happy with it. I love the wings for side impact protection. My son also loves the plush feel of the seat. If you are looking for a sturdy, quality booster then look no further - get the Vivo!

We purchased the Recaro Vivo Booster because our son was complaining about riding in a "baby seat" and he just eclipsed the 40lb mark. He was riding in a Britax Marathon and I liked that seat because of the plushness and comfort it provided for him. It seemed all the boosters I was seeing looked and felt cheap and hard. This seat is the exception! It is very soft with the velvet and cloth cover.

My son is a smaller child and I was concerned some of the other boosters might not hold him in. This seat is perfect. The seat is not too snug so there is room to grow. He tends to fall asleep on our commute home so I like that the head "wings" support his head when he's napping. This seat is very light and easy to install. The recline feature is handy as we move it from vehicle to vehicle. The headrest also adjusts so it can grow with the child. I am a fan of the belt position as it lays nicely in his lap thanks to the grooves that are on each side of the seat. All in all this seat is a steal for this price. If you are even considering a high back booster BUY THIS ONE! It is well worth the money.

I drive a 2011 Mustang. I had a Graco booster seat and it did not work in the backseat because of the flat bottom. The Recaro Vivo bits perfectly. It is a nice seat with great headrest to protect the grandchildren. It is a bit tough to get the seatbelt fastened each time but not a big issue. I was happy to find something that fit perfectly and will grow with the grands!

I was just about to order a third Evenflo Triumph, when I saw the Recaro Vivo. I was surprised when I looked at the age/weight limits - almost didn't believe it. I did a bit of research, found images of kids my daughter's age using the seat online and took a chance. It arrived the next day and when I opened the box, I liked what I saw. The manual is super simple and I quickly read through to assembled the seat - which was a snap. My daughter quickly jumped in to it while it was sitting in a living room chair and said it felt really comfortable and soft. I was amazed to see that she fit very well in it, but with the way it adjusts, looks like there won't be any issues as she grows either. After putting it in the car, I realized I did need to remove my vehicle's headrest. Once that was removed, made a quick adjustment to the angle and it fit right in place. After a few 'dry runs' I secured her in the seat. She commented again on how 'comfy' it was. She wasn't sure of the 'ears' at first, but found she can lean forward to see around them. After several trips, we're loving how simple it is to strap her in place. On the last trip we took this weekend, which was about 20 minutes long, she fell asleep. Bonus - the seat looks like it belongs in my Honda Fit.

Pretty happy with this product. I have a 2008 WRX sedan and this fits nicely in the rear passenger side. My son fits pretty well in it, cozy at the seat and just about right at the head, level to the head rests. The head piece is also adjustable. He's average height and more than average in weight. I like that there are head rests or "cushions" on each side of his head as, I would imagine, these would provide some support in the event of an accident. While I thought they might prove intrusive to him, he does not seem to mind them, as he can lean forward and look around as he wishes. The seat belt guide (a horseshoe) located between the shoulder and head rest of the car seat is a helpful feature as it keeps the belt from getting all tangled up (you slide the belt through the shoe). Slipping the lap portion of the belt under the arm rest, over his lap, and under the other arm rest before latching it--takes no time and he does it himself. Doing it this way keeps the belt firmly on his lap and the shoulder part of the belt flat on his shoulder. Eventually, the belt does get tangled, but that due more to his hasty depatures from the car v. the car seat. It's been easy to keep clean, feel well made and is sturdy. I bought one for each car. Highly recommend.
