We spend the summers in the UP, and I have not yet found a location for wireless transmission. Can anyone help me?

Where do you go in the UP? I live in the UP and don't have any issues at all. I can receive a book driving across the UP as well as in my house and on our boat.

I have the first edition of the Kindle and couldn't get it to work in Houghton last summer when I was at our cabin. Do the newer versions of the Kindle work there?

I live in Marquette and have not had any problems receiving my books, altho it is fairly slow going...

Thanks for replying. I was beginning to think no one would respond. May I ask if you have the 4G? I am wondering if it is because I have the first edition that only uses whispernet... Thanks for your helpful response. :)

Nope, I have the same as you, with just Whispernet...
