4.0 out of 5 stars Recommend it, but has some flaws. March 31, 2011

This product works pretty good and is a great replacement to constantly buying/replacing batteries. The problems with it are: it takes several hours to charge and doesn't tell you when it is done, the charging cable is only a few feet long and comes unplugged easily, when fully charged, only shows 3/4 bars on xbox screen. It lasts around 12-15 hours of gameplay. I recommend getting an extra one so that when it dies, you have a backup while it charges. It does not need the controller for it to charge, will work on any usb port (TV, computer, xbox). I read on someones reviews that it does not charge if the xbox is off, this is true for the front USB ports, the rear one (above the network cable jack on older models) will stay powered as long as the xbox is plugged in. Overall i recommend it

UPDATE: After using these batteries for about a little over a year (medium use, maybe 5-6 hours a week) they have started to loose their charger after sitting a few days. Charge time from empty to full is only about 2 hours now, but they only last about 3-4 hours before the controller shuts off. this seems to be the case with all of them I bought (I have 6 for my console and have gotten 4 as gifts for friends)

SECOND UPDATE: 11/15/12. After almost 2 years of use, these batteries have finally started to show their age. I get about 1-2 hours on a charge now (could be from leaving them charge for almost 4 days straight). For less than $5 they are definitely worth the money. I will be ordering a second set soon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for the price April 29, 2010

Works really well for how cheap it is, definitely worth it. I like that you don't have to constantly change the batteries. The only thing is that you have to have the Xbox turned on to actually charge it, it lights up when plugged in but doesn't charge unless turned on.

I'll admit - I was a little skeptical with the overall appearance of the battery, let alone the charger. I let the 2 I ordered charge for about 18 hours before first use, and I easily got 2 weeks of life out of each, averaging 3-4 hours a day, almost double what I'd normally see with the OEM battery. For the price, you can get 2 for the price of one Nyko replacement, and the Nyko is known to fart out and die within 6 months.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the money February 7, 2011

Good product, easy to use and made dealing with batteries no longer necessary. I've been using three battery packs for two controllers for about 3 months, and so far so good. You have to unplug the charger after charging is done, and you could charge it while playing, though it's quite short and probably not recommended. I'd buy a spare for sure. They last pretty long, maybe 10 hours per battery, and they are a big improvement over my NiMH batteries that I used previously.

5.0 out of 5 stars Battery Pack and USB Charger December 20, 2010

I bought three, and I love them! They're an awesome, cheaper alternative to the $20 Microsoft Play & Charge kits. The rechargeable battery pack comes with a USB cable that, when connected to the pack, allows you to charge the pack while you're playing or at your PC. There's an LED indicator that lights green to indicate it's charging. I'm just a casual gamer, but you could probably play the whole day, maybe more, without charging. Highly recommend. It's a much better alternative to buying batteries again and again. Works with my 360 Slim that I bought this Black Friday. The only drawback is the short USB cable, around 4'6." You'll have to sit close to play while charging, unless you have another pack ready.

5.0 out of 5 stars good charger August 18, 2010

works great, comes with the charger cable and the battery pack, i have another one that i bought a while back, but the tip of the charger cable was bent so i would always have to bend it to where it would charge, so i got a new one, and it still works great after about 2 months or so, i would recommend not playing with the battery pack plugged in while charging, cuz thats how it bent my other charger at the tip, so if u need to charge it, take out the battery pack, or just leave ur controller alone and upside down to where the battery pack is facing up so ur charger wont get damaged.

Got 2 of these a couple months back, and theres been no problems what so ever. The only thing I wish was,on the pack itself, the light would turn a different color when fully charged(its always a solid green no matter what)BUT,small price to pay for not having to deal w/ battery packs/rechargable batterys.Like I said, cant beat the price-under 10 bucks (w/shipping,for TWO)
