Book Description

Have you ever tasted a candy that literally melts in your mouth and makes you crave some more? Well, you've found the recipe that will make your mouth water every time you think about these savory pralines. This recipe, told to him by Hilda Jolet Wroblewski, the mother of Stanley Jolet, The Cajun Ghost Hunter, is so good, that you will literally hide some from your family so that only you can relish every last crumb. Every detail was given by Stanley's Cajun mother whose ancestors rode with Joan of Arc in the 15th century. A confectionery heaven will be discovered by your taste buds once you bite into this Cajun delight that serves as a dessert to a good shrimp jambalaya or seafood gumbo. Ca c'est bon!

One recipe, but when it's a good one, no need to gild the lily. Great back story, history and detail.

4.0 out of 5 stars How mothers made pralines November 24, 2013

This short book describes how the author’s mother makes pralines and reads like a detailed family recipe for pralines. But don’t be disappointed that only one recipe is provided because the author describes how her 86 year old mother makes this family favorite. One great thing about self-published books is that you can get background on how home cooks make traditional family favorites. What a great way to document family and local history.
