This a book that "keeps on giving". Even if you haven't yet had the opportunity to experience the other-worldly environments and national treasures of Ligumvitae Key State Botanical Site or the John Pennekamp Coral Reef Park and National Marine Sancuary, you will find light, fresh, tangy taste treats that will put your mind and palate in those environments. The conch seviche and other fresh seafood dishes will be family and guest favorite. The lime vinaigrette and Caribbean Salsa are to kill for and will find places in your refrigerator along with the Old Sour and other ingredient items for making the cooking and preparation a breeze. All in all, tropical cuisine guaranteed to provide taste highlights, convenient assembly and a definite departure from the ordinary.

This book surprised me - in a good way. I thought it was going to be straight forward recipes, but it acutally has some background by the Author about where the recipe came from and the history of the Florida Keys. After reading this book, I really want to make a trip back down there and check out the hidden gems he talks about in the book.
