The concept intrigued me and I bought it for my daughter. Each night this past week we made a few of the recipes, and we've enjoyed every meal. Some are simple and tasty, others are more involved and time consuming but worth the effort. Great for a quick dinner or a fancier meal. They've got great variety, so you can use it often without getting tired of eating the same type of thing over and over. My daughter's already promised that my father's day meal will all come from here, and I'm looking forward to it. You'll like it, your daughter will like it - good stuff.

"WOW!" This is a terrific cookbook for both beginners and experienced cooks. Who wouldn't find it interesting and a challange to cook a sesame chicken speciality from Jane Fonda;(pg. 168)an eggplant casserole from Debbie Reynolds (pg.82)and a chocolate cake speciality from Diane Von Furstenberg (pg. 285).
I am finding the pages at the end of the sections helpful to add my own notes too. And the tips and tidbits throughout the book are always a great addition.
Thank you Ms. Rothstein and Ms. Neft - your cookbook "Recipes for Our Daughters" has landed a permanent spot in my kitchen!
I highly recommend this book to everyone who eats and cooks!

this is a very friendly and efficient guide to good dining. the recipes are very "user friendly" and not time consuming. they are also "hip,diverse, and enticing" so as to invite experimentation. i gave this to my neice who just loved the tips and tidbits section. she was really impressed with the basics and guidelines that she really felt she needed. of course, she loved the "celebrity aspect", which make this cookbook a unique combination. this is a great gift!!

I just got this from my mom as a pre-graduation gift and it has already been really helpful. The recipes are great - they cover a large variety of cuisines and seem to run the gamut from easy to prepare to more difficult (and thus, impressive!). What I appreciate most are the numerous 'tips & tidbits' and problem solving suggestions. As someone without much experience in the kitchen, these hints will make troubleshooting a lot easier and will probable save more than one potential disaster in my culinary future.

This is a great gift that I highly recommend!

My daughter's not even a big cooker and she loves this book! At first I was skeptical about this book and thought it was driven by star-power alone, but in reality the recipes are excellent and the dishes are an extension of these women's personalities. This book is a "kitchen keeper"!

I absolutely love this book! It's fascinating to see what today's leading women submitted and cook in their own homes. The recipes are appealing and clear. Also, the tips are incredibly helpful. A great gift for anyone!

What a waste! Since 99% of the recipes are from test kitchens rather than famous people, the title is misleading, if not false advertising. Although it does contain many recipes from famous women, there are countless celebrity cookbooks and even online sites -- and the good ones all include something from the celeb telling why that particular recipe is special to them. This book doesn't even bother to do that. Moreover, the print is very small (and green). I ordered this along with _Mom's Secret Recipe File_ -- which was cheaper and is far superior. Celebrity cookbooks are great fun; this just doesn't happen to be one of the good ones. Although I own well over a thousand cookbooks, I'm returning this one. A total waste of money!
