Kids can create a little history in the kitchen!,

This review is from: Food and Recipes of the Pilgrims (Cooking Throughout American History) (Hardcover)
With the help of adults, young readers can explore some of the history of our Pilgrims, and how their lives were saved by the Native Americans who shared their own food and methods of cooking with them.
Lovely illustrations set the scene for the preparation of the same kind of foods that might have been enjoyed at the first Thanksgiving, blending both Indian and British food and know-how! Some of the kid-friendly recipes include Pilgrim's Honey Apples and Baked Butternut Squash. Yum!
