The reciprotools adapter fits all name brand reciprocating saws, chuck it in like a blade and choose a tool of your choice. This adapters unique double tang design allows the user to rotate tool in the adapter without removing the adapter from the saw, while also allowing pressure to be applied up, down, and in a circular motion. The Adapter's 1/4-Inch hex design gives you the option to turn the tool in six different configurations and still hold the saw the way it was designed to be held. The Adapter makes using different tools possible with quick changeability. Adapter dimensions 4.75-Inch by roughly .75-Inch.

This tool is actually an adapter that locks into a reciprocating saw taking the place of the blade. The adaptor allows the attachment of accessories made by the same company. The adapter locks these accessories into place using the standard quick connect male 1/4" locking hexagon pattern found on other products.
I also purchased a file, rasp and brush with the adapter, which work quite well. The reciprocating saw's back and forth motion allows these attachments to make short work of a tedious project requiring a lot of hand labor. I also found that a reciprocating saw that has a straight line function as well as the the orbital function, like the Milwaukee Reciprocating Saw, performs the best with a little better control. This is a very useful addition to your saw.

Reciprotools has created a way to harness the power of a reciprocating saw for more than just its primary role. A unique Universal Adapter allows the saw to file, clean, and scrub.The adapter is well-built, heavy, and sturdy. Tools attach firmly via a hex shank. The line includes 2 metal files (Half-Round & Rat Tail), 2 wood tools (Flat Rasp & Rat=Tail), 3 Brushes (2 Stainless Steel & 1 Nylon), a Cleaning Brush and a Cleaning Pad. Unfortunately, Reciprotool was aquired in 09/11 by Jore Corporation. The full line of these tools is difficult to find at the moment.
