I bought this as a birthday gift for my mom. She really, really wanted it and we couldn't find it anywhere, not even in Brazil. So I was thrilled when I found it here on Amazon. I placed the order in October 2009 and it still hasn't shipped, but it looks like they finally found the CD somewhere and will be shipping it to me next month. My mom really loves this CD. She used to have the record a long time ago and it got damaged when she moved years ago. She was never able to find it again, and I can't wait to give it to her. If you like Bossa Nova and MPB, you will probably love this. It's the type of music people in Rio used to listen to in the 60's and 70's.

Bethania's first concert album,

This 1968 release was the first live concert album released by Brazilian pop diva Maria Bethania... the first of many, I might add, as live performances turned out to be one of her greatest strengths.
