Greatness. Buck, Mill, Stipe, minus Berry have put on an incredible show. Wish I was there. Can't wait for the full album. This sampling reveals the beauty of the original studio recordings coupled with an even deeper richness of sound that only comes with having played together for thirty years. I love it when people snap-off without making a 20 second effort to see what's going on. This is a TASTE of a 30+ song album to be released in October.Based on these samples, I couldn't be more excited. The old stuff sounds tight, jangly, and exciting--just like it did back in the early 80's when I would see them religiously every time they rolled through the St. Louis area. Kudos REM, for always giving props to your old school fans without resting on your laurels! |
