A family reunited is always great but there were lessons to be learned and appreciated for those of us who can see beyond the story.

This book really hit home for me... I enjoyed the character as I could relate to each of them. I love the story and I have to say that I wish there was a continuing story. I would love to know how everyone is doing since the reunion... Thank you for a good, heart warming story.

***Review From Amy Conley For The Nerd Girl Page***

Tyne Whitlock thought she left her past behind but when her teenage son Zachary aka "Zach" gets into some trouble Tyne has no choice but to go to Lucas SilverHawk a high powered attorney.
Lucas comes up with a plan to take Zach back to Wikweko the place where Lucas was born and raised. It's there that Zach will learn important life lessons and becomes a better person from what he used to be. When Tyne steps back into the one place she tried to leave behind her past catches up to her and alot of memeories come pouring in and secrets come spilling out now the three of them have some catching up to do and there's a lot they must learn about themselves and each other.

My Review:
Firstly I would like to say what an amazing job the author did on this book and I wish I could give it more than the 5 stars because it definitely deserves a higher rating! It left a huge impact on me and one that I'll never forget! Not only is this story incredible but also the characters you watch them grow up tremendoulsy in front of your eyes! I really enjoyed this book alot it brought me smiles, laughter and on occassion some tears too but what I enjoyed most of all is the sense of family and how after some time the character's came together and formed this incredible bond!
I also enjoyed learning the history aspect of it we get to see inside the Lenape community where Lucas grew up and what it meant to be a Silver Hawk and other cultures as well.

Family mysteries, secrets, lies, and cultural differences come to a head in this novel by Donna Fasano. Lucas Silver Hawk, Tyne Whitlock, and their son Zach are faced with dealing with the consequences of their choices, as the past meets the present. The three of them are more alike than different, when the secrets are revealed; and they try to handle their reactions honorably.

The main, secondary, and even minor characters are well developed and realistic-- from the judge's tough stance on juvenile offenders, to Zach's teenaged reactions, to the family members coming to terms with the choices they made. The plot has many interesting twists and turns to keep you guessing what happened in the past, and what will happen next. This romance is a bit spicier than some of Ms Fasano's sweet romances--just enough to keep you fanning yourself! Usually, I have a strong feeling, negative and positive, about main characters; but in this star-crossed lovers' story, I found both Lucas and Tyne engaging, and could understand the rationale for their choices. Watching Zach accept, change, and grow, while learning about his Lenape heritage and family, was a highlight of the novel for me. I have to admit that I fell for the wonderful character, Uncle Jasper. I loved his gentle wisdom and story-telling to make points, which helped the characters accept their past decisions, and learn from them. I felt like jumping in my car and driving north, just to meet him and hear stories!

I appreciated the tying up of loose ends that Ms Fasano provided for the end of the story, and that it didn't just include a happily-ever-after for Lucas and Tyne, but satisfactory closure for all of the plot lines. Get your tissues ready for the epilogue!

I'm not good at writing reviews...but I know what I like when I read it and I really liked this book. The beginning was just a bit slow for me but it all made sense as I continued to read. I felt the writer portrayed the subject matter of bigotry with just the right touch - not too heavy handed but not too light either. The family dynamics were great. There was also romance, albeit not really steamy, but very nice. It was a bit refreshing to read a book that didn't use a lot of explicit language and managed to tell a great story.

**3.8 Review - As posted on KindleObsessed Blog**

Mae Whitman put it best when she said "Being a teenager is hard." This (of course) being a universal fact known to all of us over the age of 25. As teenagers we are ruled by only a few things: our emotions and our parents, and both can swing or sway our decisions in ways we never fully recognize until we breeze past our formative years. Most of these issues aren't life changing. More often than not they are tiny little speed bumps in our road to self discovery, but every once in a while they aren't. And because of this (whatever decision it is we made) our life changes irrevocably.

"Reclaim My Heart" by Donna Fasano is a prime literary example of what happens when your teenage decisions have adult consequences, AND how forgiveness is more than just an 11 letter world.

"Sixteen years ago, Tyne Whitlock cut all ties to her past and left town under the shameful shadow of a teenage pregnancy. Now her fifteen-year-old son is in trouble with the law and she is desperate for help. But reaching out to high-powered attorney Lucas Silver Hawk will tear open the heart-wrenching past in ways Tyne never imagined.

Forced to return to the Delaware Indian community where Lucas was raised, Tyne and Lucas are tempted by the heated passion that consumed them as teens. Tyne rediscovers all the reasons she found this man irresistible, but there are scandalous secrets waiting to be revealed, disgraceful choices made in the past that cannot be denied. Love is a powerful force that could heal them both-if the truth doesn't rip them apart."

Second chances make for great love stories, and it's with my limited experience that very few can capture the ache of long-lost love quite like Fasano.
