This review is from: Reclaim Your Family From Addiction: How Couples and Families Recover Love and Meaning (Paperback)
I bought this book in my search to understand my fiance's actions . . . How could he continue to lie to me about his addiction. . . The betrayal I feel looking back at his anger towards me for even implicating he was using . . . only to find out - he really was using all along. How do you ever trust again? Do I even know who he is? What kind of person can look you in the eye and make you look like the crazy person - when you've been right in your suspicions all along? This book has been immensely helpful to me in understanding the clockwork behind the actions of an addict/addiction. It has also been very helpful in understanding the feelings I have as the primary co-addict/non-addicted partner - who is caught in the middle between loving my partner and wanting to help him - and wondering where to draw the line.
