The ETHICAL HIGH GROUND is uncomfortable in places!,
By
This review is from: Reclaiming the Ethical High Ground: Developing Organizations of Character (Hardcover)
The book is written in a business context, but the reader is inescapably challenged to consider an approach to life, not just business. A treatise based only on the recent transgressions which have become public knowledge would not have been so effective. John Di Frances mixes those with instances of personal observation, and contrasts them with cases where the 'right way' ethically was also commercially right. It is a timely reminder.

Character has always been the key to leadership,
By Dr. David C. York, (Greenfield, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Reclaiming the Ethical High Ground: Developing Organizations of Character (Hardcover)
It is a lot easier to talk about character than to live out its claims in the challenges of real life. This book does a great job making the case for the high priority of character in leadership. But of even more value is the latter half of the book where the author creatively shows the reader how to begin building character into his business and life.

Doesn't dig real deep,
By A Customer
This review is from: Reclaiming the Ethical High Ground: Developing Organizations of Character (Hardcover)
This book is very simplistic. It doesn't give any real answers. It gives simplistic solutions such as "Have a better ethics program in business school"The author has used this book as an opportunity to demonstate his love for the Republican party. He doesn't seem to have any fortune 500 business consulting experience. The fact that most reviewers are from Wisconsin(just like the author) tells me that most of the reviews are from friends of his.
