5.0 out of 5 stars Reclamation ~ Front Line Assembly
I will basically buy anything that Leeb and Co. release and therefore I had to buy this compilation with remixes and amazing tracks the blade, mindphaser and so many others. The remixes are awesome and show the true genius of Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber. Leeb writes very pesimistic yet not trite lyrics that often talk about doom and gloom. However, this could easily become...

3.0 out of 5 stars just a compilation; no unreleased tracks...buy the albums
This compilation does not add anything new. if I were you, I would buy the albums instead, 'Gashed Senses & Crossfire', 'Caustic Grip', 'Tactical Neural implant' and 'Millenium' deserves enough attention, so don't waste your money on this compilation.

3.0 out of 5 stars just a compilation; no unreleased tracks...buy the albums, September 30, 2001

This compilation does not add anything new. if I were you, I would buy the albums instead, 'Gashed Senses & Crossfire', 'Caustic Grip', 'Tactical Neural implant' and 'Millenium' deserves enough attention, so don't waste your money on this compilation.
I bought it because of the songs not included in any album, but ok, it's a reason for buying the compilation, but they're not amazing traks, anyway. 'Heatwave' has no vocals, 'Target' is quite ok but average compared to TNI material, and 'Toxic' has a distorted chorus quite interesting, reminding me of Skinny Puppy.
Virus is a typical song from 'Caustic Grip' era, not my cup of tea, similar to 'Mental Distortion', perhaps.
The versions of 'Millenium' and 'Surface patterns' are more electronic than the original ones, but much too alike, nothing surprising. 'Iceolate' and 'Provision' mixes are good 'cos the songs are very good, but the versions are just a bit longer, that's all.

All in all, if you just want to know the band, it can be interesting, but you will get a better experience if you buy the original albums, actually.

However, this could easily become silly or just inane. However he manages to pull this of with style and keeps the lyrics pertinent style. The remix is nothing short of stupendous and show that Michael Balch was a contributing force to FLA at the time. The cover art is puzzzling shot of a female crash test dummy and the back cover is a an old rusty car. I have no idea what the band wanted to convey with this, but I suppose it was meant to be some form of artistic creativity.

3.0 out of 5 stars Rare Mix Tracks...But Random Ones Too!, October 19, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Reclamation (Audio CD)
For some odd reason they put the most random songs on this album like Mindphaser & Iceolate & No Limit...for no limit it said Disintegration Mix from the amazon music samples... but when you get the cd it's just the origral No Limit don't ask me why it's not a mix! the up side is it his some good remix tracks my favorites are Digital Tension Dementia (Contagion Mix)& The Blade (Pro-Gress Mix) Heatwave - Target - Toxic.. i think are unreleased tracks. Front line assembly fans could pass on this one!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pleasantly suprised!, November 30, 2006

I gotta say I'm not really crazy about compilations but this one is killer. A nice mix of their material before they sucked.

4.0 out of 5 stars Explosive compilation, February 24, 1999

The mixes are excellent, resulting in a "take no prisoners", wonderfully done techno-dance compilation. Need some motivation to wake up? Play RECLAMATION!

3.0 out of 5 stars New twists on classic stuff, December 31, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Reclamation (Audio CD)
Although I generally don't care much for FLA's music before Caustic Grip, the songs I do know have been remixec very well. Add in some great remixes of songs on a couple albums I haven't aquired yet (that is changing), and I think this album is very good. It just didn't grab me like Caustic Grip, TNI and Millenium did, though.
