About the Author
Joseph Donaldson served in the Duke of Wellington’s army from 1809 to 1814, climbing to the rank of sergeant in the Ninety-Fourth Scots Brigade of Picton’s 3rd Division. He returned home safely to write his memoirs and start a family before dying in Paris in 1830, at the age of thirty-seven.
Ian Fletcher is one of the leading historians on the Napoleonic period. He has written or edited eleven books on the subject, including Wellington’s Regiments (Spellmount).
