MRS JOHN FARRAR RECALLS THE TRIAL OF SIR HENRY BROWNE HAYES IN CORK FOR THE ABDUCTION OF MARY PIKE, AT WHICH SHE WAS PRESENT AS A 19 YEAR OLD. HER DESCRIPTION OF THE TRIAL IS INFORMATIVE EVEN THOUGH SOME OF IT IS INCORRECT.
