So far, a very good purchase. I installed the light bar approx. 2 months ago on my 2007 RAM 3500 Mega Cab and have had no problems with it. It installs very easily including splicing the white wire into your truck's wiring harness for the use of the white reverse lights. The lights are pretty bright, but not blinding which I feel is a good thing. Overall, a good product. MAKE SURE YOUR TAILGATE DOES NOT HIT THE LIGHT BAR WHEN OPENING. POSITION THE LIGHT BAR LOW ENOUGH TO AVOID THIS PROBLEM.

WAS HAPPY TILL IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY BY TWO WEEKS, RIGHT SIDE WENT BLACK AND BRAKE LIGHTS QUIT WORKING. CHECKED CONNECTIONS ALL OK, BUT MOISTURE INSIDE TUBE. GETTING ANOTHER ONE BUT WILL SUPER SEAL ALL SEAMS.

Warning I wouldn't Buy a Recon Light Bar! I had mine for only two months and two led light went out. And Recon will not warranty! Wanted me to buy an new one from then I told them to forget it I will try another brand before buying if from them again!

I purchased one of these. Installed it and it worked good for a little while. Then a wire in the light bar shorted out and caught the thing on fire. I could have lost my truck or done serious damage to the electrical system. I have photos of this for anyone that wants to see it. Recon has ignored 4 emails from me including the ones with the photos attached. Very poor product and customer service. I like the idea of the light bar and I am looking for another one, but I will never get one that was made from nor buy one from Recon.

This product would have been given a 5 star rating except for one issue. The material used for the "L" bracket holding the LED light strip is plastic and will not standup to any modifications required to fit the 2005 F-150, for the price Recon is asking for this product I would have expected a more durable material. The 2005 F-150 has a safety catch on the right side of the bed that will not allow the LED light bar to be centered or flush mounted. You have to remove the right-hand adhesive strip and relocate it about 3" to the right and then notch out a grove about 3-4'" to fit around a 3/16 high extrusion from the frame. Beyond this modification requirement for the F150 the product is working as advertised.

Just finished installing my light bar and I have to say, it was VERY easy! I didn't have to make any modifications to my truck which was nice. The bar mounts easily with 3M tape and it clears the tailgate stop so no need to modify that! Get it, it looks awsome and works great!

Recon lights are pretty cool, but I wish I'd paid more attention to the warranty when I bought one of these. 90 days. Yes, three months. So while most of industry is using LEDs for longevity and better energy consumption, RECON can promise theirs will last no more than a quarter of a year. Mine was great for a little while, and then seems to have lost a seal. For whatever reason, condensation built up slowly on the inside, and continued through the entire bar until the LEDs started dying. I think about 5 still work in the entire thing. It's just like Wal-Mart I suppose. Everything is shiny and looks good until you get it home and try to use it. Do yourself a favor and try a different manufacturer.

had it about month time will tell how well i like it, but for now i would buy it again i guess

Very pleased with this LED product, despite having to send the first one back because not all the lamps would come on, in reverse. However, the replacement I have had now for two months works nicely. At night when I place my truck in reverse the the light bar comes on brightly and makes for safe backing up. The brake lights and turn signals also work well here in the Central San Joaquin Valley where we get our share of dense low level road fog. This was the main reason I purchased the product.

Very pleased with this light bar. It looks great on my new GMC Sierra 2500.
