I bought this edger thinking I would get an OK product for the price. I used it over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised that it works better than much more expensive models. There was little assembly and in no time I was ready to go. I've seen my neighbor struggle with a more expensive model and was shocked how quickly I was able to edge my entire yard a lot faster than I've seen him do his, and I have a huge yard. It took me a little while to figure out the best direction to use the blade (on the pavement with the built in guide against the sidewalk)but after that sunk in it was a breeze. Next I cut a path to border a garden spot and it worked like a champ. This is a great buy!! I don't normally write reviews but this one I felt merited comment.

This is my first refurbish product, I don't think I will buy online another Factory-Reconditioned again (may be in store which I can see it condition). Not sure how long it will last but it's look beat up and a front wheel not straight. It's might be worth under $25.00 on the one that I got. Better to buy it brand new.

picked it up for thiry-seven bucks on a friday sale. could not be happier -- great item, great price. don't over-pay on this one ... wait for the price to come back down.

For the price, I am really pleased with this edger. I used it already on grass that had been growing over the edge of the sidewalk since I moved in several years ago, and it really did a nice job without much effort. There was a little assembly, not much, just be sure and tighten the blade assembly really well. I'd buy it again.

Didn't have high hopes for a factory reconditioned item. However, the one I received looked brand new. No scratches or scrapes as expected. Worked well. Very light and easy to use. Took a while to get the hang of it. Our soil is very hard clay and my yard had never really been edged so it took time. Of course the cord is a nuisance but I don't have the strength to handle a gas powered edger. Much better than my string trimmer. Factory reconditioned items are a risky buy but this one is a winner.

Great power and easy to assemble.

I used to do the edges with a machete and due to this I had a tennis elbow illness. So I took the decision to purchase this item (never had the opportunity to see it in live) and my surprise is that is very easy to use, no effort is required due to its power and leaves the edges in perfect shape.

But be careful with your walls, because depending of soil humidity it could give you an additional task.....cleaning!!!

I received my purchase and when I opened the box the unit came with the shaft in two pieces to be bolted together. However the AC cord in the shaft was ripped in half by poor packaging. Rather than return it, I labored to get the cords out and spliced them back together. Amazon gave me a small credit for doing this, and the unit works wonderfully. Watch out for poor packaging and rough delivery.

I purchased this edger to replace my 10 year old Black and Decker edger that finally burned out. This edger has more power than my old one. Even though it had been over a month since I last edged my sidewalk, it cut throught the grass and dirt like knife through butter. I initially thought it looked a little cheap and it would break easily, however, I have used it three times and it seems to stand up very well. It is fairly stable, so all you have to do is push it forward. Don't worry about it being refurbished, mine looked like it was brand new. Definitely recommend this edger.

I saw no visible signs of this item being used and refurbished. Looks like new and does a wonderful job. The best price anywhere as well!

The recondition lawn edger came looking new. and its backup by a two year waranty by Black& Decker. will reconsider buying other products like this
