An excellent quality smoothing plane for the price. Fit and finish out of the box was very good. The sole was flat. The iron itself only needed a few strokes on a bench stone to get the edge sharp. The cam lever, lever cap and adjusting nut operated smoothly and easily. Again, for the price you can't go wrong.
