the oficial bootleg TYA,
By Nikola (Melbourne Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Recorded Live (Audio CD)
This is the TYA official unedited bootleg provide by the band as a quality recording providing an alternative to the appalling quality boots around at the time.
Leo Lyons on bass shows that that particular instrument in his hands is a formidable tool in keeping a steady and totally creative sound allowing for Chicks multi layered organ to float within the music thus allowing Alvin Lee to sing his heart out and enjoy himself playing his guitar and you can hear that he is enjoying every note played. Ric plays the drums like a man possessed just listen to the Hobbit. That this recording is this good shows that the Rolling stones rolling studio was a fine facility allowing us to have and cherish some of the classic live performances from the era. TYA Recorded live is one of them, This CD version is a very good beautifully remastered package well worth having. I just hope that the good folks at BGO records can persuade Alvin Lee to release some more material from those recordings.

Lee`s blusie mood......what a mood!!!!,
By Carlos I. Alsina "superflypr" (San Juan, Puerto Rico United States) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Recorded Live (Audio CD)
Lo mejor por mucho de TYA...Alvin Lee is one of the guitar player that most impressed me. His very own technic playing the blues is amazing. When I first saw him playing Ì'm coming home at Woodstock I knew that I were in front of a master of blues. This CD include song that show what I talking about...just listen Help me or I can keep cryin' sometimes.....This is the best TYA album by far....!!!!

As far as Ten Years After, this is my favorite. I listened to and stashed my vinyl copy years ago. This came right on time. The extra song(The Hobbit)on this import CD is worth the cost and time to listen. For me, it came 30 years after the original. It been a nice revisitation! Come on over any time!

Alvin Lee sounding great,
By A Customer
This review is from: Recorded Live (Audio CD)
You really here how amazing Alvin is as a musician as he carries this group with obviously less talant on his shoulders with his incredable energy, creativity and soul from his guitar. He's the best, the mst underappreciated guitar player of his generation. I recommend that fans check out Alvin's "best" work which has been his solo work. If you haven't heard Zoom, which has the Bluest Blues cut with George Harrison and Jon Lord, it is WOW, and Let it Rock from 1994 and the Alvin Lee Anthology, your missing another side os Alvin Lee, playing with better bands and showing the variety of his amazing work.
