I used it to connect an old toshiba laptop to an old tv. It was quite easy and worked very well for watching the movies I had downloaded. The only thing is that I wasn't sure if I would get sound through it. Nope. So I fortunately already had a 3.5 mm rca to a audio component cable that I plugged into my home theater systems.
