I have a friend who saw Joni James at a seminar in Austin Texas and bought the book there. She recommended it highly, then sent a copy to me. I have been going through the divorce process for 2 years and am about to make it final. Having this book guide me before the final process was wonderful. It is helping me leave the pain behind and move forward into my new life. I found Joni James very inspiring, open, relatable, honest and she offered a really unique thoughts that I had not found in any other book I have read. I happily give the book 5 stars. Anyone considering divorce or already divorced should read this.

You can tell that the person that wrote this book was sharing real experiences and discoveries not just something out of a text book. In addition to providing great direct information, she also refers to other great books for more information. Book was easy to read.

In a time when I was most vulnerable, I felt that other divorce recovery and self-help books treated me solely as a customer. They were impersonal, impractical, and frankly, a little bit offensive. Did all these publishers really think I could follow a simple how-to guide written by people who haven't even been there themselves? Joni James's Four Doorways to Freedom was my last shot at divorce recovery books, and I cannot tell you how glad I am to have given it one last shot. James's writing not only delves deeper into the psyche to restore damages from a devastating divorce, but it also helped me identify unresolved issues within myself that I couldn't have faced without her. After only reading her book, Joni feels like a true friend. This book is a must-read for anyone struggling through divorce.
